Digital / Analog
Am currently in a dilemma if I should give up my turntables or my CDJs. I just love the warmth of my 1200s and the occasional crackling of vinyls. These babies have been with me for a good half of my DJ-ing life and was where the wicky-wicky started. For some reason, parting with them tickles my emotion. the 1200s are also no longer in production. Then something daunted me, it was the thought of maintaining them. It has now become more of a chore due to my work commitments - what's up with the environment these days? Despite having dust covers, the needles seem to collect more dust than ever!
I've been under utilising them since I started fooling around with various DVS available and their timecoded CDs. Don't get me wrong, I love wax, but the possibilities are just endless with the hotcues on the CDJ1000mk3 ; which I got from a producer who didn't have much time for it.
Looks like I'm leaning towards the digital scratching camp since no one is interested in my WTS ads for my CDJs in frontallabs and exitmusik. I guess I'll just post the ads for my TTs as well and see which one goes off first
